Powerline Homeplug network adaptors which allow networking, internet access and cctv through a buildings existing internal wiring structure

Powerline  - Networking

The easiest way to add connections to your network
without the hassle of wireless networking.

Most of us are surrounded by wires for most of the time but (and here’s the sneaky bit) we can’t see them. We’ve probably NEVER seen them, and yet we know they are there – hidden away, lurking in the walls of our office or home. The MAINS WIRES. The mains wires which we currently use to carry all our electricity but nearly always overlook the fact that that’s not ALL they can be used for…..

With the right bit of equipment you can use them to carry your network signals too.

Think of the advantages…..

·        They’re already there

·        They rarely if ever get broken

·        They go to virtually every office and room

·        No matter how thick the walls and ceilings, the signal will always get through

·        Much, much more reliable than Wireless Networks (and easier to set up)

·        They even connect to out buildings and separate office blocks

In fact, they are a fantastic but largely untapped resource.
If you are in the position that you sometimes require extra capacity on your network, maybe a few extra connections for out workers who occasionally come in to the office for example, or maybe for a temp who is only there at peak periods, then Powerline Networking is probably the simplest and most reliable solution for you. Instead of installing Cat 5 cable/RJ45 network sockets, or struggling with a variable wireless signal which may or may not still be there in a few minutes time, simply plug your network cable into a Powerline Adaptor, then plug into the mains socket & switch on. Provided you’ve got one connected to your network switch or file server at the other end then, hey presto, within roughly 20 seconds you will be on the network and can stay there as long as you like, with NO interruptions or signal failures.

If you wish to change offices or rooms, move the Powerline Adaptor with you,
plug in to the wall and you’re back connected to the network
– it really is as simple as that. –

POWERLINE HOMEPLUG NETWORK CONNECTORS

Powerline Homeplug 14Mbps, 85Mbps and 200Mbps Network Adaptors
PL14 - £16.50
PL85 - £29.00
PL85 twin pack - £49.00
PL200 - £50.50

The Powerline Homeplug network adaptor is available in three data speeds. The 85Mbps is backwards compatible with the 14Mbps model. The 200Mbps is not backwards compatible with the other models; it would be a good choice for a new installation but for existing sites the 85Mbps model would be the better choice.

Built-in Quality of Service (QOS) features provide the necessary bandwidth for high data rate broadband sharing, VoIP Calls, extending Wireless LANs coverage, Audio-Video transmission across the network, multimedia payloads including TV over IP (IPTV), as well as network camera connectivity.

Easy to install and use, Powerline Homeplug network adaptors plug straight in to any existing wall electrical socket while having a low power consumption, they come with 56 bit DES encryption ensuring that your network communication is free from eavesdroppers and hackers. The AutoMDI/MDIX functionality of the PL-85PE also simplifies and ensures a hassle free installation.

With transfer rates of 200Mbps, Ethernet HomePlug AV can easily support full multimedia home networking throughout the whole house including simultaneous High Definition (HD) and Standard Definition (SD) video distribution, whole-house audio, Voice Over IP and high speed Internet in addition to data networking.

You will require at least two Powerline HomePlug devices to create your network.

Built-in Quality of Service (QOS) for HomePlug also provides the necessary bandwidth for multimedia payloads including Broadband TV (IPTV), higher data rate broadband sharing, Online-Gaming, VoIP Calls, Wireless LANs coverage, Audio-Video transmission across the network as well as Network camera connectivity.

Powerline Homeplug 85Mbps triple port network adaptors
PL85 Triple Port - £42.50

A 3-port version Powerline Homeplug adaptor of the 85Mbps adaptor which can be used to form a peer to peer network all on its own or to connect groups of three PCs to an existing network, reflecting a saving on plug sockets over using one adaptor per PC.

This device merely shares the available bandwidth across three devices. Reviewers (of web site Trusted Reviews) used a qualitative test to gauge the performance of the three port adapter, rather than using an overly elaborate quantitative test. This consisted of, quite simply, streaming a feed of high definition H.264 content to all three computers simultaneously. If it can cope with that, then it can cope with anything.

They confirmed that the adaptor passed with flying colours and were able to watch three different HD streams at the same time. There was enough bandwidth left over to surf the web with ease and move files back and forth from networked folders without disrupting the video feed.
