Broadband for Business services including ADSL and SDSL internet access, Max Speed tarrifs, VOIP, Web Hosing and Email Hosting

UK Wide High Speed Broadband Internet

Who are Andrews and Arnold & Why do we Recommend Them?
We'll let them tell you themselves..... "At AAISP we believe in providing a high quality service and real internet connection. Most people think an internet service is just an internet service - if you can get to a web page and send an email, what more could you want? We understand what lies behind that service. We understand latency, IP addresses, firewalls, fallback, subnets, reverse DNS, and much more. That technical knowledge, found throughout the company, means we are able to advise and help you quickly and efficiently and not pass you from one "expert" to another in the hope that you may eventually give up and go away."

What sort of connection speeds are we talking about?
ADSL as a technology allows up to about 8Mb/s on very short distances but it depends very much on the quality and length of the line. BT provide various speeds of service, and they are now starting to offer adaptive services that can go up to 7.15Mb/s (8.128Mb/s line rate).
Upload can be up to 400Kb/s (448Kb/s line rate) on Max standard,
and up to 750Kb/s (832Kb/s line rate) for Max premium.

Tariff
Tariffs are based on the amount of peak time download you will use. We do understand that people may not know what they will use, and so we have a range of tariffs which you can pick and comprehensive information on what you are using. You can change tariff at any time on the control pages for your line and that takes effect from the next bill.
The tariff is based on the amount of data you download at peak times (8am-6pm Mon-Fri) only.
Usage outside that time, and uplink (sending to the internet) is not part of the tariff.
This is a big difference from many other ISPs that charge for any usage at any time of day or night.

If you are out all day and so expect only to use the internet outside peak hours, then our lowest level of 1GB/month is ideal. This is only £18.99(inc vat)/month for our Standard service. This is a special tariff where you pay for any additional peak usage over 1GB automatically by direct debit each month (to the nearest 0.01GB step). We do however email you each time you use another GB of peak rate download just in case you leave something downloading during the day unexpectedly.
We then have tariffs from 3GB/month which are simply charged each month in advance, and any over usage is carried forward automatically to the next month (up to 10GB).

Standard or Premium service?
We offer two types of service, standard and premium. Both offer great rates of download, as fast as your line can handle on ADSL - so up to 7.15Mb/s (8.128Mb/s line rate).

Premium costs more, and offers...
Higher upload (data sent from you to the internet) of up to 750Kb/s (832K line rate) rather than 400Kb/s (448K line rate).
Higher priority within the BT core network between us and you. This means that at busy times you will get more download than people on Standard service.

Remote support
If you have a permanent fixed IP ADSL connection (which you DO have if you use Andrews and Arnold), then we can get remote access to your systems and network from our offices and can help sort out system and network problems very quickly and efficiently.

Online - Off site Backup
Through our association with Online Storage providers Securistor, we can provide you with the security of backing up some, or all of your data automatically every night and storing it at their datacentre. If the very worst happens to your workplace and offices you should be in the position of having access to all your vital data almost immediately.

What does ADSL mean?
Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line - it's a technology for carrying high speed data on normal phone lines, and BT provide a connectivity service that will connect telephone lines to service providers (like AAISP). It uses high frequency signals that don't stop the phone line working as normal. Connected to the BT exchange is a fast data network to carry traffic to/from a service provider. The service provider then connects to the internet so that the customer gets a fast internet connection. ADSL is available at speeds up to 8Mb/s.

What does SDSL mean?
Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line, much like ADSL. The key difference is that it is the same speed up and down. Also, it uses a dedicated line, rather than being shared with a phone line. SDSL is generally only available at up to 2Mb/s.

What does Broadband mean?
Broadband is actually a radio term, and relates to the way the signals work (over a broad band of frequencies all at once). These days consumers treat broadband as "fast internet".
